How are you using your Scootz?

A few trips to Dirty Burger and zipping around for fun! I will be riding on paved surfaces like tarmac and asphalt and zipping over a few dropped curbs

What type of surfaces will you be riding your Scootz on?

Scootz for bumpy surfaces have larger sheels and more comfortable tyres. Don’t worry we only sell Scootz with good handling anyway – we want you to stay safe!

Get me a scootz I can ride in the rain without invalidating the warranty!

I won’t be riding round in the rain so if I buy a scooter without a warranty for riding in the rain its all good. I’ll have more money dirty burgers and nandos!

How much do you weight?

We promise not to tell anyone! (Its GDPR so we will not be tweeting it). Rider weight has a big impact on scooter performance. Riding one that isn’t strong enough for you and all your gear is dangerous and will invalidate the warranty so let’s get you the right one. If you are in between categories we recommend picking the heavier one – that way you don’t need to worry about munching on an extra KFC bargain bucket!

You svelte good looker! We recommend a scooter which can carry 80kg so you can carry 10kg of baggage.

You need a scooter rated to carry 100kgs. A minimum of a spare 10kgs or 3 billion grains of sand..

We recommend your need a scooter which carries a at least a maximum load of 120kg – or an adult tiger! Woah!

Now tell us which features are most important to you?

Normally more powerful scooters are a bit larger and heavier but are faster and have better suspension for all those bumps you are going to ride over. Lighter and more compact scooters are great for folding away and are easier to carry (perhaps on the train)

Guys I am riding flat surfaces with the occasional very slight incline.

Typical urban environment. I am riding around town and don’t want to get off my scootz for those slopes.

No need for me to sweat on this hill my scootz will do it for me! These are the hills which cars would need switch down gears for.

Yes please! This is what I need. More power means more speed and acceleration and I can go up hills faster!

Guys im taking my scooter on public transport or up stairs or folding it under my desk. Show me something lightweight and compact!

Tell us how far you are travelling between charges?

Longer range means bigger batteries, unfortunately bigger batteries cost more. All the ranges claimed by manufacturers are based on optimal conditions and varying rider weight. The range you achieve will be based on weight (so don’t put dumbbells in your rucksack), surface/terrain (scooters perform better on nice flat surfaces) and battery quality (this differs too).

Great for short trips down to Nandos! The average commute in London is 7 miles but maybe yours is shorter! Time to look at google maps?

For slightly longer trips and plenty of charge for those hills!

For lots of journeys or for having fun on tracks and gravel surfaces or riding up hills.

Help me out! Show me something which is suitable for average use

How portable and stowable do you need your e-scooter to be?

Think about the various journeys that you’d like to be able to use your e-scooter for, and consider how important it is to you that you can easily pack down, carry and tuck away your e-scooter.

Choose this option if you don’t need to regularly pack down or carry your e-scooter on your journeys, and you have plenty of space to store your e-scooter at home and your destinations.

That’s fine – we’ll assume that you might find the ability to pack down, carry and stow away your e-scooter useful from time to time.
